"Dear Kati, Well, as you promised, the wedding went just perfectly. You really talked me down off a ledge, a week before the big day, when our planned venue fell through. Not only did you put up with my frantic emails and phone calls, you made our reception perfect. It was, as you promised, a great party. Pan and Keys was AWESOME! My guests are on me to find out how they can buy CDs. Roy was a real trooper, also putting up with my pre-wedding panic, and the vocalist was sublime. What a great talent! They got everyone jumping, both in the wedding party and on Trunk Bay! Thank you so much for the referral. I would also like to put in a good word for Erin, who worked the bar. She was very helpful and nice, but also provided some "muscle" in fending off curious beach goers! She was great, the food was great, and she kept the drinks flowing. It was a terrific party due in no small part to your and Erin's hard work."

Thanks so much! Vicky Meadows Ramirez and Marc Ramirez

Victoria Roda, called Vicki by her clients and co-workers, hails from New Bedford Massachusetts just outside of Cape Cod where those in the know make frequent associations between that small peninsula and our island paradise of St. John. Since her career began, she has been primed for working in a place where relationships rule and knowledge of local nuisances dictates success. This makes her the perfect candidate for coordinating and planning events on island.

Vicki’s passion for people led her into the hospitality world several years ago as she began working at the famous “burger in paradise” hot spot, Skinny Legs. No doubt that stint on island fueled her enthusiasm for the locals and encouraged her talents at serving clients whom boast many needs. Returning to the states she gathered impressive skills at a boutique Boston architectural firm where she was praised for her pace setting standards in efficiency and accuracy. Thereafter, Vicki moved to the service saturated city of Seattle, where her hospitality resume grew thick with experience. Vicki couldn’t help but feel the call of St. John again and we are all grateful she came home.

As a self described “straight shooter,” Vicki adds candor and commitment to the KatiLady team. She believes in surrounding herself with real people who can encourage creativity and build on one and other’s dreams. Vicki helps her clients focus their wedding dreams into island realities. Her in-depth knowledge of regional customs and relationships with vendors provides direct access to the best St. John can offer. Clients benefit from her forward thinking and trouble shooting. With a career in event planning she has found a bright future on an island that keeps calling her name.

Kyle Inserra
  • Executive Chef
  • Catering Director
  • French Culinary Institute Graduate, NYC
  • BA Business Admin, Franklin & Marshall
  • Montclair, New Jersey

Every great Chef starts small, learning in the kitchen from their peers and growing their repertoire of dishes through studied years of listening, watching and tasting. It doesn’t hurt to have a family that celebrated cooking and eating either. Kyle Inserra, KatiLady’s Executive Chef, has done the time and now KatiLady clients are rewarded with mouth watering dishes infused with his own brand of polished talent.

Kyle, originally from Long Island, began his career in business working at Prudential as a Financial Advisor. Three years into it he realized he was missing zeal from his life. Fortunately for all of us, he found that passion in cooking. He began studying at the French Culinary Institute honing his already raw skills in the kitchen. A natural at Italian food, given his intense family influence, Kyle stretched himself to master such wide varieties of cuisine from Asian fusion to French Regional.

Having moved through renowned eateries as Marco & Pepe in Jersey City and Prestige Catering in NYC, Kyle decided to open his own catering company called Ganache. During his time serving the tri-state society he prepared meals for Prada Events, the Academy Awards, James Beard Foundation and such famous discerning pallets as I.M. Pei, who’s most recognizable accomplishment was designing the Louvre in Paris.

Kyle’s enthusiasm for cooking is hard to bottle. His favorite moments in the kitchen include the presentation and one would be hard pressed to deny his plating talents. We are truly delighted to have Kyle and his skillful hands in our kitchen providing KatiLady clients with the best food this island has to offer.
